Sorry I haven’t responded in three months. I’m beginning to like the album more, but I still feel some distance compared to his more rock and folk stuff. I think I have an easier time accessing that. I can dig funk, but it always seems more of a gimmick or something for me. Less serious. I don’t know.

@patrick That’s kind of like saying “I have a hard time getting into Beck”. Is it that you like with more rock and folk material more closely?

I would say that you’re missing the amazing funk, but that’s impossible to ignore.

I’ve had a hard time getting into Midnite Vultures, even knowing that Johnny Marr does some of the guitarwork. What am I missing?
